Investment Strategy

Active derivatives management focused on return, controllability, and risk discipline.

Strategic Framework

An active strategy for diverse market conditions

Financial markets are in constant motion. Prices rise, fall, or move sideways over extended periods. Zenth Capital is not dependent on a single market direction, but uses actively managed exchange-traded derivatives structures to pursue returns across varying market regimes.

The strategy is grounded in structure, discipline, and active risk management. We primarily deploy exchange-traded options and, where appropriate, futures and underlying liquid securities.

The objective is not to forecast every market movement correctly, but to structure positions so they can be actively managed whenever the market moves differently than expected.

Core Principles

Three foundational principles

Return

Capturing opportunities from option premium, time decay, volatility, and market movement.

Controllability

Structures must remain adjustable, reducible, or hedgeable throughout their lifecycle.

Risk Governance

Risk is governed at the portfolio level; capital preservation and control take precedence over maximizing any single transaction.

The four pillars of the Zenth strategy

Methodology & Execution

01

Pijler 1

Return from derivatives structures

Zenth Capital employs option strategies designed to capture returns from option premiums, time decay, and fluctuations in market prices and volatility. Unlike traditional investing, returns do not solely depend on rising equity markets.

Depending on market outlook and prevailing conditions, factors including anticipated movement, volatility, duration, strike prices, liquidity, and correlation with existing positions are evaluated.

02

Pijler 2

Active management across market regimes

Positions are not merely opened and held untouched until expiration. The portfolio is continuously monitored. As market conditions evolve, a position can be adjusted, partially closed, rolled forward, or paired with a supplementary derivatives structure.

The objective is a dynamic portfolio whose risk-return profile remains controlled throughout its lifespan.

03

Pijler 3

Return from movement and time

Time, movement, and risk as an integrated whole

Options possess unique characteristics that traditional investments lack. Beyond underlying asset prices, remaining duration and implied volatility drive option values. Zenth Capital systematically combines these factors.

Time decay

Within suitable structures, the erosion of time value can contribute positively to returns.

Market movement

When an underlying asset exhibits sufficient movement, a calibrated structure can benefit from the shift.

Volatility

Shifts in expected market volatility directly impact option pricing and constitute an active component of our analysis.

04

Pijler 4

Risk discipline over return maximization

Derivatives are powerful instruments requiring rigorous risk controls. Prior to initiating any position, potential market scenarios and their portfolio-wide impact are assessed.

Key risk factors:

Exposure and available liquidity/margin;
Concentration and position correlation;
Sensitivity to price moves and volatility;
Durations and expiration schedules;
Mechanisms for interim adjustment or hedging.

If a position develops an unfavorable risk profile, Zenth Capital intervenes. A loss on an individual transaction is acceptable when it protects overall portfolio capital.

Market Dynamics

Independent of a single market direction

Zenth Capital pursues a return profile that is less reliant on continuously rising equity markets. The chosen structure determines which market movements are targetable or permissible.

Upward

Rising market

Positions can be structured to participate in an appreciating underlying asset.

Neutral / Premium

Sideways market

Option premiums and time decay can contribute to return within appropriate structures.

Downward / Hedge

Falling market

Derivatives can be deployed to capitalize on downward movements or hedge existing risks.

High Volatility

Highly volatile market

Certain strategies benefit specifically from large price swings, regardless of direction.

Not every market movement needs to be traded, and new positions are not opened daily. Capital is deployed only when the potential return-to-risk ratio is sufficiently compelling.

Practical Execution

Case examples

The following real-world scenarios illustrate how positions are structured and actively managed under changing market conditions.

Example I

Example I – Range-bound market

Suppose an index trades around 5,000 points and is expected to remain within a defined range over a given horizon. Zenth Capital can establish an option structure that collects premium. As the market stays within the calculated band, time decay contributes to performance. If a larger move occurs, the position can be adjusted to balance exposure.

Example II

Example II – Major market breakout

In situations where significant volatility is anticipated without certainty on direction (up or down), an option combination can be structured to appreciate in value as long as the underlying market experiences a sufficiently large movement.

Example III

Example III – Active intervention

When market conditions change faster or more dramatically than expected, Zenth Capital does not remain passive. Depending on circumstances, part of the position may be closed, alternative options traded, expirations rolled, or supplementary hedges deployed.

Portfolio Governance

A systematic approach

Every position is evaluated as a component of the total portfolio. We evaluate not just the standalone expectation of a single trade, but primarily its effect on the aggregate fund risk profile.

The objective is not maximizing return in a single short-term window, but achieving attractive compounding returns over the long term within a controlled risk architecture.
